Sarooster - The French with 26% unemployment have tons of challenges
... but I think the original mistake was NOT allowing employers to fire in the first 2 years of employment. Now they are paying for a bad decision. -- I have long ago given up anticipating events in Israel. Ideally a 'true' agreement to live in peace with the Palestinians is in order, but we know how previous agreemenets have lasted. I can't begin to imagine living my entire life in a war zone, and if that isn't enough to get them to cohabitate, what could? -- I think Bush should have 'accepted' Card's resignation long ago. He failed to cover Bush when more Katriana info needed, he didn't warn him off from his threat to veto the ports deal, hell, he didn't even bug Bush when he kept reading the book to the school kids on 9/11. I feel the job requires covering the President's butt, and pushing when pushing is needed.

Sarooster...this is a good post.  You've expressed the problems going on in France at the moment very well.  It's a real mess over there, and I'm not surprised students are going crazy over the new law that has been brought in.  Whatever people think about certain aspects of French attitudes, at least they have balls when it comes to making a stand against government policies.  We can learn a lot from the French.

Justsouno,
Thanks for the kind words. I will miss you. I don't always have time to comment on people's writings, but I enjoyed reading your stuff also.

Sarooster nice post. Keep writing for the cause. There are far too few
on here who think like you. Be blessed. I am leaving April 3, I'll miss ya.... I like your writing.

We can and do agree at times blog!
The French are in a jam. Socialism may be good for a very few things, but in general it's not the best thing to have going for you. We could discuss Israel all day long and their dealings with the Palestinians. They just have to try to keep a middle of the road government so they don't get too far off kilter either direction. Card probably just got tired of all the troubles of being in a high position in government for a long time.

Sarooster - I agree with you on all points. Frightening, eh? How can ...
... this be? Aren't we supposed to be opponents? (Joking aside, good post.)
