FW, you're the greatest!

Thanks for making this so easy and so much fun!

Speaking of employers having illegals on the payroll, did you realize that Bubba's chauffer was busted in Newark, New Jersey as an illegal? And he really was an llegal, as in being wanted for having skipped on a residency status hearing six years ago.

As for being native American, indeed I am, every  bit as much as the Indians and their predecessors. Fact is, none of us are native to this continent. We all, including those who were gone before the Indians came, had our origins elsewhere.

Glenn, you have this bass-ackwards. If you were paying any attention to the news, you'd know that Bush is opposed to the immigration reform legislation, at least in its present form. Which is a shame, because border security is one of the few blemishes on his record. But you are right in one thing - as noted above, we are all immigrants here.

No kidding! As I opened this page, I heard this on the radio:

Some local idiot said this on the news: "Immigrants" (meaning illegal aliens) "contribute significantly to our economy, [holding down jobs] and paying taxes. But they realize little benefit from their contributions because they have to hide in the shadows."

YIKES! This gets the first ever triple Emoticon Hammer!

Consider this concept very carefully: If these hard working people obtained valid work visas or became citizens, they would not have to "hide in the shadows"!

Writer

I am a native American....and I assume you are, too.  Born right here, 6 generations removed from my ancestors coming over from Ireland......

I am proud to be a native American........

You sure hit the nail on the head with regards to readership...

Your post is an excellent read....and the GOP had better wake up to the situation or they will be cast in with the left on this issue.....

WriterofLight,

Immigration is "just" another one of those traps set by Bush Inc. to draw these dumb-ass Democrats from his war crimes! Stop destroying or destabilizing sovereign nations and the immigration problem becomes "give us your tired and humbled masses"?? Remember America is a nation of conquerers and immigrants!

George Bush is a war criminal and congress is his meal ticket!

If conservatives want to stop illegal immigration ...
fine employers $5,000 an hour for very illegal immigrant they have on their payroll. We'll see how far the Fortune 500, not to mention Mom & Pops, will let that legislation progress. BTW, I didn't realize you were Native American. That's what gives YOU the moral authority to decide when we close our borders.
