Nan--- Minimal can be maximum for some of us. But enjoy your sister
for who she is. (Easy for me to say!)

that's an interesting thought- maximize on the non-material things!

Hi normally I'd agree,
but with the current security strike, most stores are closed and it's not really safe to stick your nose out of the door. It's amazing how I don't really need anything but still feel depsrived because I can't go into the stores.

"don’t think everyone has to be that kind of minimalist.“
I may not know you personally......but I think you would be fra from being a minimalist.......you just find things other than material ones to maximize.

I find shopping very frustrating. Tons of stuff I don't want and usually I can't find what I need and can use.

Hi.. I do not like the mall and when I do go with someone else .. I get the car keys because I know I'll be finished first and would rather sit in the car and wait. I am glad you enjoyed your ride and appreciate the good things in life.

Nanaroo,
I'm something of a minimalist, too. I can count on one hand the number of times I'm at the mall in a whole year. Of course, I do my share of shopping online, now, too. But I've never been a great shopper. I just can't make a day of it. I liked the cartoon. :)

i can't stand the mall! i can't stand the glazed look
that shoppers have on their faces as they wander along purposefully conceived aisles that gently coerce you to walk a certain way to discover certain things. i'm with you nan, my last pair of jeans came from value village®, a second hand store. i also bought a pair of leather and fleece gloves for winter work. at mountain equipment co-op® the gloves cost $30+. at value village they cost me $3. and they were brand new.
