The Motorcycle Safety Foundation classes are a great way to learn...or to re-learn.. they're all over the country!

I like routines solely because it enables me to get a lot done and still have free time. It's a catch 22. And, the youngin's love it.

Nanaroo,
Routines and habits have been my life for some time now, even down to where I place my mail on the counter, when I read my mail, how much TV I watch, etc. I would love to just be the adventurous/spontaneous type, but I have a tendency to be too much of a planner/worrier. Life it too short. I've got to break that mold. :)

Well I guess I am a creature of habit too. It's fun to get away, but it's always great to get back home! You have a wonderful time~~

Nan-- I like both and each helps me appreciate the other. As to packing for
travel (which I do often), nearly everyone takes much too much stuff, which adds to the hassle of traveling. Keep it light.

Confining...definately
I've always had trouble sticking to a schedule. People tell me life is better than way and I try for a while, but usually manage less than a week before something comes up that demands spontenaity.

Hi,
I'm spontaneous, I dislike schedules as I find them confining. I love travelling, last week I was in the mountains with my my friend and her kids. It was a great time.If I could, I would spend all my life travelling and visiting wonderful places...

My schedules are confining
and I often complain about them, but when I have no schedule I'm a complete mess. Thank goodness for external motivators or I'd rarely get anything done!

Nan....
I like routines, but I also like to break away from them! I think a few days away is a great thing. Like you said, no responsibility! sounds like a fun trip. Enjoy and stay safe!

Every year for Labor day we go to Mackinac Island
We do the bridge walk (about 5 miles), the island is beautiful and NO cars allowed. It's peaceful, calming and we get lot's of exercise. Plus, being 300 miles from the big city the air is clean and nature is beautiful. Makes all the difference. I always go back to work the following Tuesday completely rejuvinated.

Good morning to you! Yes, I think you're right- a break in routine can help a person look at things differently-

Sifting through the cobwebs
Yes, a nice break probably will help clear those cobwebs; everyone needs a break from the routine sometimes.
