Hmm I co teach a course on love
addicition. We would say that if you really work at it you can get out of old cycles and start fresh ones that are healthy. If you were to do this you would be attracting people of like mind - this can be good stuff.

What love is depends on who's
doing the loving, and who they love. A baby's idea of love is to be held, fed, comforted by someone bigger and stronger, to have all their needs met. A parent's love is to nurture, guide and train a child to be as lovable to others as s/he is to the parent.
Falling in love is a chemical reaction in the brain that changes every ounce of common sense you ever had into blind acceptance and complete confidence that your most inappropriate wishes will be fulfilled, the bluebird of happiness has come home to nest, and we will live happily ever after. And since sometimes people do live happily ever after, we hang in there even after common sense is restored.
