No, Nanaroo.....I can conk out, but I do prefer night owl times...
I usually pop one Benadryl if I can't sleep, and that makes me drowsy, about 97% of the time. It's not perfect, but at least over-the-counter...

It must be contagious. I don't think I got to sleep until 1 am and woke up at 4. You and Mr Cat are reminding me.... I'm going to have to get the camera out and take some pictures of my cat.

I've never had trouble getting to sleep or sleeping all night,
until recently...now I find that at 1 and sometimes 2 in the morning, I am still wide awake. I've entertained the idea of staying up all night one night, then going to bed really early the next night, to see if I can get my sleep schedule back on track. Don't know if that would work though. Poor Mr. Cat just wants us ALL to sleep, lol.

re: not sleeping. your not having dinner was probably the key but you've had a lot going on. culmination catastrophe! a comment to your previous post - libras are supposed to be flush with money this year starting any time now so i guess the tile truck is your start.
have a great day and give that kitty a snuggle from me.

thanks. I did have a little nap about 6am so I think I'll get through the day OK. Last night I wasn't hungry for any supper so I think that was part of my problem in the early a.m.

Nan--- Thinking about what I'm going to write, for here and other places,
does keep me awake at times. Strangely enough, reading usually can put out the lights for me. Get some sleep.

I hate when that happens...
pointless wakeful hours when you have to be quiet because people are sleeping!
Your mind runs in circles like a hamster in a cage, mostly silent whining: why can't I just close my eyes and float away to dreamland. You're too fuzzy and tired to read or write. You can't get up and fix breakfast, it's wa-a-y too early to get the day started. Even if they wake up to bacon and coffee, if it's 4:00 a.m. they're going to be cantankerous. And tonight, dying for sleep, you'll be so tempted to get to bed early... Don't do it! you'll risk re-setting your body clock. Go for a walk today some time. No chocolate, cola drinks or coffee after 3:00 p.m. Have turkey for supper, and unless there's something else wrong, tonight will be sweet dreams...

I'm up pretty much all night, every night (though not due to insomnia) ...
Therefore, what usually happens is: I'm a total zombie all morning, until finally passing out completely around Noon.
At any rate, have you tried doing a little light yoga? That sometimes works for me. If not, you might want to consider a "Serenity fountain" (those never fail):

P.S. Really, really precious photo, btw.

Nanaroo,
What a cute kitty picture! As for the sleep, I just heard on the radio this morning that eating cheese can help you sleep better. I'm not making this up. It was on a John Tesh (the old Entertainment Tonight guy) morning show. He got it from a health magazine. Good luck. :)

Nan...
That's an adorable photo! Sorry you can't sleep! Sometimes when I can't sleep I take 1500 mg. of calcium and it works. Calcium calms the body....I guess that's why people have a glass of warm milk before bed!
