Many thanks for commenting!
D, who's dealing with reality and who isn't? You are saying that the 37% to 40% of survey respondents who approve of his performance- let alone the clear majority of voters that re-elected him - do not exist. And if you want intelligence in a president, we had plenty of that in Clinton, the reigning champion of scandals. Bush may not have Bubba's brains, but Bubba doesn't have a shred of Bush's honor.
FW, F- on your homework.
Here, go read the documents that prove the rationale for the war at http://fmso.leavenworth.army.mil/products-docex.htm
Glenn and FW, the question was so preposterous as to defy answer. She might as well have asked him about living on Jupiter or dining with George Washington. His response was entirely appropriate, to set the record straight on her flawed premises.

Justsouno,
What is it about this guy that he can't be asked questions, and we get answers about his actions that are causing the suffering of the Planet! Who is George Bush?? Do you really know this man?? Somebody better start asking the questions and we better start "demanding" the "real" facts and answers!

dhayen,
Bush might be stupid in your book, but he has handled the left pretty well. He has left them as a mass of hollering and babbling idiots.

How far from reality have you slipped?
When the entire country, let alone the world, has rejected Bush, you must feel pretty alone in defending his lame ideas. I'm just ashamed and sorry we don't have a president who is smarter than me ... and you. He's a real dumb-ass who can't read, think or lead. We shouldn't make excuses for him when he can't answer simple questions, either.

WOL, I watched this. I can not believe a woman who has been in
the business that long sunk so low as to demean the office of the presidency of the US, (not the man) the office by accusing him of lying. He is not indited, in court, officially held for any reason and she is building a public case when it is her job to gather facts. She has gotten too old for the job. I can't believe I am saying that, but I have watched her for decades and respected her.... not anymore.

Helen Thomas could almost be taken seriously if she didn't look
so funny. The woman is one of the biggest idiots this country has ever put in front of a camera. If the left needs someone to holler at about the war why don't they try to ask questions of the overwhelming majority of Deomcrats who voted to given the President the authority to do so.

Helen Thomas was right ...
every reason, rationale and premise for going to war against Iraq has been proved FALSE. Unless the right wing knows where the WMD are and the mainstream media isn't reporting it.
And it is true that Bush ordered the military to prepare for a war against Iraq right after 9-11.
There is and has never been any link between Iraq and 9-11.
Helen asked about Iraq, Bush answered about Afghanistan, and then repeated the same old LIES about the phony "intelligence" the VP manufactured.
Give 'em hell, Helen. The reason why Bush et al and the Congress were so eager to go to war is because the chicken hawks never actually served in one and thought this one would be over in days, if not weeks.
