Corbin,
Stats like this encourage me more and more to travel light.  I hate checking luggage.  I always try to take no more than a carry on.  I just buy what I need when I get there or do a lot of laundry.  :)

1% doesn't sound like much but...
if you figure 2 pieces per passenger and 200 passengers per plane that means an average of four people on every flight loses luggage. Ugh!

Corbin, I hope you are not in big--i say big trouble. LOL
I flew only twice one month and both times I was hit...Once my luggage. It was returned to me within hours (Washington D.C.) The next was a real deal.... I had sent my seasons samples (fashion designs) special on my plane from Atlanta by Delta --so they said--. I get to NYC no samples. My show is the next day.... No samples! They finally do find them on the same day and no one will take us into the city--me and my samples both without I take a limousine and pay for the whole thing and then he puts five others in it. Bet if I have been a mean man they would not have done that..... LOL It always worked out okay!

I have flown over 20 times in the last year; and haven't lost a single item
Not only that, but there are 6 of us on my work crew. And none of them have had any lost luggage either. So the numbers are pretty good.
