Sarooster, the left wants us to think everyone else is opposed to the war.

Arley, not a parallel between victims of aboirtion and war dead, but rather a disconnect between advocacy of abortion on one hand and exploitation of war dead through insincere concern for the safety of military personnel on the other. How many far-left opponents to the war do you really think are in favor of the military? My guess is pretty darned few.

Kooka, thanks for checking in! Looks like you're a little behind on the news. See my postings for links to documentation that confirms pre-war intelligence. I am impressed, though, that you aren't joining the rest of the anti0war crowd in dismissing WMDs out of hand as if they never werre there.

Jethro, thanks for the Code Pink update. They are something else. They claim to be a women's group, but they obviously  don't give a damn about the horrible treatment of women under Saddam in Iraq or the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Code Pink has been picketing outside the Walter Reed military hospital every Friday for a couple years now. Every time busloads of soldier flip them off yet they come back again. Code Pink has also send hundreds of thousands of dollars to the insurgents in Iraq who are killing our soldiers.

The funny thing is that if all the liberals in the world had had spines in the first place we could have had so much pressure on Saddam to disappear that he would not have survived. If all the people in the world Left and Right would agree to pose a united front against people who are indisputably evil it would become considerably less desirable to be evil.

Kooka
There have been a plethora of posts on this site as well as books written, interviews with Iraqi military, etc. clearly explaining the connection between Iraq and terror.

Take your fingers out of your ears and face up to that fact like an adult so we can all be spared your redundant ranting.

Wait a moment...

“Consider, as the left dares not do, the 3,000 deaths on September 11th and how many more would have died had the terrorists fully succeeded. Did a single person who so self-righteously condemns the war and so mockingly laments the deaths of American heroes ever utter one single word of protest against the terrorism that would, had it not been finally opposed so forcefully, reaped a far greater harvest of American lives?”

What the hell does that have to do with Iraq?  Iraq has nothing at all to do with war on Terror and is basically holding us back form dealing with the real terrorists, allowing them time to attack again.

If there is a pyro in a town, burning buildings down and the police go after him, but he gets away and is in hiding, doe sit make any sense to then go after his neighbor because they got along?  Do you then arrest the neighbor and say that because the neighbor is now arrested no more building will be burned down, even though ten pyro is still on the loose?  Or does it look like a waste of time to go after the neighbor and not focus your resource on hunting down the pyro?

Iraq may have been working on WMD, there is some evidence of that.  But they clearly were not threat and could do no harm to us.  We had plenty of time to deal with the real war of terror before we needed to go after Iraq.

Bush sending men to die in Iraq is the greatest disgrace to our troops out there.  Anyone who defends Bush’s abuse of power and casual sacrifice of the lives of Americans in a war that should not have taken place is sickening.  There is no logic to us being in Iraq, it has nothing to do with Bush’s War on Terror, that is just a piss poor excuse Bush used to trick the American people.

If anything those of us in the left are very much aware of what really happened on 9/11 and are not insulting the memory of that event by using it to justify destroying the American way of life, as Bush has done time and time again since it happened.

Hmmmmm. I'm not sure we can connect abortion to war dead and still arrive at objective conclusions, but I will mull the matter over and get back to you.

I bid you peace and understanding. Arley White

Another good post!!
The left really does not want to protest the war. You look bad when you do that. They want to bash the President.
