symphony,

Thank you very much.  I have a couple of things that are in progress for this blog category, but I have been stalled by a lot of things that have had me distressed for nearly two weeks.  This is my favorite blog to work with, but I think you know how much people around you can mess up your concentration.

I'll put more here very soon.  I'm going to work on one tonight, but it will be a day or two before I get it finished enough to post.

lily,
Thank you.  I'm very pleased that you liked it.  It amazes me that I have found such an unexpected niche in writing that can lead in so many directions.  I have always knewn that I had the feelings, but I have only recently stumbled into a writing form that gives me an outlet.

Thank you.  I never really thought about doing romantic writing, but it seems I discoverd an inclination and something of a talent for it.  I experimented with it at Blogit, and found that quite a few people responded positively.  The more I do, the more involved in it I get.  I have always tended toward the psychological element in narrative writing.  Relationships, particularly in a broader sense of the term,  involve more of the pschological than any area that comes to mind.  Any writing that doesn't involve strong psychological and character overtones is rather dull, at least to me.

Nanar,

I'm not sure whether the juggler that I hit was exactly what you had marked, but I bookmarked the Google thing.  That is really great!  There are zillions of things to look up.  Too fantastic!  That's exactly the kind of thing that I have wanted to find.  The little clips that you get at a place like Amazon are OK, but you don't really get to see or hear enough for a decision on something to buy.  And a lot of it they don't even have clips for.

I suppose the juggler is a bit of a fit, isn't it?

THANK YOU!

Nanar,
Thanks.  I have a Cox Cable line, so I'll get right over there.

BlackPearl,

Thank you for the comments.  I'll have to look into the version of the song that you mentioned.  If I can find it on a CD somewhere, I would very much like to hear it, as well as anything else that group might have.  Old blues is some of the best music around.  Thanks for that information.

And thanks for your comment on my post.  I have been working hard at acheiving the very qualities that you mentioned.  It's nice to hear in a comment that I am being somewhat successful.  Sometimes I think that I'm doing well, other times I think that I'm cranking out garbage.  A comment such as yours is very encouraging.

I neglected to mention that I liked the story too.  There were really good images that I could picture in my mind.  Thanks for sharing it.  :)

Jack Flash, Nanaroo,
The song "96 Tears" was also recorded by a blues/soul singer named, Big Maybelle, back in the 50's or very early 60's.  My grandmother loved her music, so I'm somewhat familiar with it too.  One of her more well known songs, "Candy", was made popular on the Cosby Show back in the 80's.  Anyway, that's just my round-about way of saying I like the song, too.  :)

Angel,

I wondered what was happening with you.  I'll get to your blogs and see if you have any more.  It is certainly OK for you to comment without making it immediate.  I don't mind that at all.  I was only a little curious about what was happening with you, but you don't have to go into that if you don't want to.  I won't be annoyed by an email, if you should want to send one.

I, too, wish that we could see what would be the final outcome of alternate decisions.  When I think about it, I guess the main point of most of what I write is just that.  I don't really have much desire to write something that is purely fictional.  I find it meaningful to put actual events into a narrative form that resembles fiction, but pure fiction ?  That's not for me.  The only fiction that I find appealing is fiction that is not really fiction, in a strict sense of the word.  Hemingway, Steinbeck, Faulkner, Tolstoy, Tennessee Williams,  Clemens, Kerouac, Mailer,  any number of other excellent writers--were they really fiction?  I think not.

Your comment, ''... we could see what would happen if we turned right or left, before we do it, to know if it is the right choice,''  gets very precisely to the point that I try to follow.  When I do a post, as the one here, my effort is to illustrate a crossroads, a very emotional turning point in our lives; a moment under the shadow of the Great Question Mark.  I sometimes do things that are in a lighter vein, but they are never pure fiction.

None of us really knows the answers to the ''what if'' speculation.  If I did A instead of B, I could have easily ended up in a 747 over Lockerbee, or in a freeway pileup on 19th Avenue.

It is a beautiful memory.  I collect them, and keep them dusted,  in my Glass Menagerie.  They are, after all, life itself.

Don't worry about when you comment or where you comment.  I enjoy your thoughts wherever I find them.  They make me think.

Jack, I read this first when you posted it, but was in no condition to

comment, I was lurking I am afraid.... But, now I am a little better and I would love to respond, if it is okay with you...?

I loved this story, I wish that we could see alternate views of the consequences of our decisions, you know what I mean? Like we could see what would happen if we turned right or left, before we do it, to know if it is the right choice. I have a few regrets in this area, but without knowing the full extent of the possibilities, well who knows.

It was a beautiful memory, though! Thank you for sharing it with us, sorry that I am a bit scrambled with the comment!

Nanar,

I really like that song too.  You don't hear it real often, unless you have the record or CD, but when I hear it I have it in my mind for days.  Now that you mention it,  I should try to find it on CD.  Turntables are so much of a pain that I don't even have one set up.  I would rather buy new albums than mess with that old crap.

Thanks for commenting by.  I need to check your new posts.

kiddo,

There are some minor changes to the real thing, but actually not much.  It's kind of like the old Hollywood saw, ''based on true events.''  As far as what I should have done--well, if I had a nickel for every time I didn't do what I should have done, I would own a mansion on twenty acres in Cozumel, and be partying around in a Ferrari.

Thanks for the read/comment.  I'll be over to raise a stink at your place.

alright, I'm confused, did this really happen? lol.... I never
know then I make a comment that looks stupid because it was made up.  If it isn't true, good work, if it is...You should've swabbed that guy and scooped her up...lol.
