I'd say I was cool with this, as long as it wasn't a "canned" statement like somebody down below mentioed, that showeed they didn't read your post, just wanted to pimp their own. There was somebody here for a while went around doing that and it got obnoxious. I think he's gone, but if you leave a link, I think it ought to be on somebody who you know wouuld want to see it, like you said, because they'd identify with it. I wouldn't do it to piss somebody off.

I think leaving a link that's relevant is alright to draw direct attention to the posts. There are some who don't read posts, don't comment except leave a prepared statement to visit their blogs.
