DM-
Thank you for your input.  I felt the tribute of your letter to Marie.  And yes, it did help me personally.  It made me realize that I was the stronger one in the relationship and he knew that.  He knows it to this day.

Muser-
Thank you for your heartfelt comment.  I am taking it all to my heart, too.   I feel honored to have received one of your rare comments.  Thank you, dear lady!

Cee...

My letter was just an expression of thoughts I had collected over the years since Marie and I took two different paths. I wasn't trying to rekindle anything with her through that letter, but I do want her to know how much I respect her even to this day. It took me nearly 15 years to reach the level of maturity Marie had when she was barely 30 years old.

I really hope my letter had a positive affect on your attitude. Somehow, I think it did.

Cee, this sounds very positive to me. Don't forget that you are a strong
personality as well! All that I have read suggests to me that you were the only strong one in the whole story! I am not in any way making light of all this, but I have seen in my own life that everything has happened for a reason, every single thing was in a certain place in a certain time, for the purpose of teaching. If a love becomes one sided, and begins to hurt rather than delight...as sad as it is it's time to let it go...You , my dear, are a beautiful lady! It is time to love yourself now, Cee. It is a time for healing. Holding on to that which only hurts you is not good... holding on to that which is no longer blinds you to what you might have seen today...obsessing on how to get it back if it's not meant to be is destructive. I hope after you read this you will go look in your mirror at the beautiful woman in it...the one who should be smiling...the one who DESERVES better than she has been given. When I got to that place, I went out and volunteered at a homeless ministry at my church. I started to give of myself, and thanked God for the priviledge. It was the benning of a new, and wondrous experience!!I am on your side...pulling for YOU. I know women like you...they are beautiful, and strong, and HAPPY!
