I eliminated permanent markers from our house when the kids were little.
Try the magic eraser like someone else said.. it actually takes off a bit of finish of the material that is "decorated"

Sometimes the "magic eraser" by Mr. Clean can get
stuff off the wall. I still have ceiling tiles with bicycle tire tracks on them from 20 years ago. Nobody ever found out how they got there -- went to work one day and they were blank, came home and they were "decorated." Family life, go figure!!!

You may get a certain type of special sponge or chemical to rub off the stains. I don't know what it contains but it can remove many kinds of stains from furnishings etc. No scrubbing at all. Lol.

I know.....I'm sorry, didn't mean to sound unsympathetic......I had a similar thing happen, only it was an outside hallway in an apartment we were renting, and I had to pay to have the whole hallway painted because they couldn't just paint the area to cover it. I'm just always trying to see the silver lining.

You will recover from this but your frustration is understandable.

Well, do you at least like blue?! Take a lot of pictures so you can laugh at this in the years to come....there's really little else to be done about it now. Hey! Maybe he's gonna be an artist!!
