Why is it that every confused believer who comes along and sees an atheist talk about God they have to go off on how they do not understand that. I don't believe in dragons either, yet I write about them and study them.
I write about God because I see religion as one of the biggest influences that is hurting our world. America could be a truly great country if we could break away from the religious aspects that have continued to keep our potential growth in check.
As for the scripture, that is all B.S. and a bunch of man made crap to control people, nothing more.
Also, you obviously have just failed the great test and are now damned because you have not shown the true values God wish you to follow by your comments here (Did you not read the post?). Sorry, but those are the breaks.
Obviously deep thought is not something you can handle. Instead of actually trying to understand the logic here, you saw that I Was an atheist and so you figured I 'lived in darkness'. My suggesting is you not read my posts here because you obviously do not have an open mind and are not willing to grow as a person.
I try to get people to think about the possibilities. If you are willing to do so, then you might get something out of my posts, otherwise you will just look like an idiot believe, like so many other idiot believers before you.

Atheist?
Although there is not much point in responding to your obvious confusion, I must say that for one who claims to be an Atheist, you sure talk a lot about the God you claim doesn't exist. Just so you know, the holy scriptures say that, "The fool has said in his heart that there is no God", and "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." Jesus said,"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will never pass away". I will pray that the Lord will send the tiniest ray of light into your darkness. When He answers, you will be amazed. But remember, to one who has lived in total darkness, light is very painful at first.
