Xeno-x - I don't look at it that way - if I had of moved to the USA
back then (I was in my mid 20's) I would have become conditioned by my environment over the ensuing years in a different manner than staying in Canada. Who's to say if that would have been for better or worse?

probably good for you
except if this new PM of yours cowtows to the U.S.

but I was wondering if you knew of this Pete fellow.

I do enjoy your posts and questioning.

avant-garde -- very well spoken and I wonder if the subtle irony is caught
by a few people that need to catch it? Any message that is reduced to anonymous creditation and denegrated to the level of a public washroom can hardly be a worthy message. Can you possibly imagine any other field of endeavour that would consider this completely classless form of distribution. I found Jesus in the washroom at Denny's, come on now! The mind capable of not seeing this is indeed a maleable mind, very easily taken in and very easily controlled by others. Living and selling fear would be the least of their problems.

Your words are well-taken. I visited the can today at a local restaurant and there was several phamplets rubber-banded together. At the top of each one was a warning of going to hell should there be no compliance.

I would daresay they are already there, propagating their fears and imagining what life might be like without it.

Xeno-x - I almost became an American citizen
Within a few days of stepping off of the plane coming back from Tehran, a company from California offered me a job at a good salary. I took it to the point of investigating immigration to the USA and would have gone except 2 things made me change my mind. I got another job offer with nearly the same salary and within a few days of that, I met a pretty young lady that I later married. Women will do it to you every time.

pete
came to St. Louis from Canada on a 6 mo visa, stayed about 5 years.  sang in  local places.  had blond thinning hair and a handlebar mustache and something of a beard.  haven't heard from him  for while -- went back to Canada (originally from Calgary, Alberta) to help a friend with a music store I think.  he liked cats.

RckyMtnActivist - are you comfortable with doing a bit of HTML coding?
The Blogit interface accepts both HTML and Javascript. Remote hosting of images can be done with a free image host.

Gome....
That's a good idea! I wouldn't have thought of setting up a new blog to experiement with. Thanks!

RckyMtnActivist - that's no problem
This Blogit interface is very easy to customize. It just takes a little bravery and experimenting. What I quite often do is set up a new blog, drop some content into it (to give an idea what it will look like) and then manipulate the template code in that one blog so as not to mess up anything in my regular blogs.  Failures or unused templates can then simply be deleted.

RckyMtnActivist - thank you - changing this blog template is so easy to do
I wonder why more people do not make an attempt to spruce up their blogs.
