kris,
Yes, it was near Longview.  I had an aunt who lived there for years.  My dad was born in Pine, which is near Pittsburgh.  My Granparents lived in Pittsburgh for most of their years.  Those are pretty small towns, so you may not know them.  Tyler isn't far from there, and Sulphur Springs.  I also had a Great Aunt in Longview.

Kris,
I think that's common in your part of the country.  My dad was born and raised in East Texas, and it was quite common to use first and middle names.  I knew quite a few people from Oklahoma and Arkansas while I was growing up, and it was very common with them.  It was kind of funny at times.  A person could be called by only their first name until someone was in a scolding tone, then David suddenly became David Earl.  I always liked the sound of using both names.

offbeats,

Maybe just before you go to bed is one of the best times for reading it.  I'm glad you liked it.  I'm working on something similar that I hope to finish tommorrow.

Thanks for the read and comment.

Justso,
I know that such things only happen to certain people.  Others don't care for such misbehavior.  I do appreciate having them comment on my ability to document that sort of thing.  Thank you very much.

angel,
Thank you for sharing.  To tell it was to relive a dream.
