Krisles,
This is beautifully said. I have experienced kindred spirits, friends who've come and gone in my life, for a variety of reasons.  Now, the man I'm with, I don't think we could or would have been together 10 years ago, some of our traits would have driven us apart, but I did get into a conversation similar to this with a 70 year old man today, who thinks that the idea of soulmates is dangerous because it limits people's perceptions.  I like you're expanded version: not just one but many possible soul mates.

Sometimes I believe you are not of this earth because of the way you strum words as if from a beautiful wisdom filled harp. You are brilliant and I so love your presence whenever I click on your name. I feel you, know you and love who you are.

You can find soul mates anywhere.
And I find that I'm the same way...it always amazes me when I find someone to connect with on that cosmic level.

Hi Krisles
I had copied the same phrase that John McNab mentioned, so that I could paste it here:  "...everything is unknown until it isn’t."  That's the whole reason I keep an open mind in life.  Who am I to say there are no soulmates (or soul mates)?   "Soulmate" is just a label, but the connection or force that it describes certainly exists, there's no doubt about that.  How it all works, though, is a mystery to me.  There are many people who have, or could have, this effect on us.  As you say, many we're obviously never going to meet.  So yes, it is possible to find them online.  The Internet has just served as the conduit, much as a city sidewalk might in the more usual circumstances.  Another great post, Krisles, and so nicely written.  You're drawing from a very deep well, there.

I like your comment ....'everything is unknown until it isn't'.  Your post sounds like a straight copy of a questioning, but untroubled mind.  I think a soul has many mates in life, who do not necessarily have to be romantic.  Think of the person you meet rarely, but who immediately lifts your spirits, and you know within yourself that they feel the same way.     Whether the existence of a soulmate extends into eternity, of even if there is such a thing, I don't know, but then 'everything is unknown until it isn't.'

Wow, Krisles.....This is rich and very deep....just how I like my thoughts.
That's why I so enjoy stopping by your side of the world here. This is a scrumptious piece of writing. And I like a woman who dreams large. And I mean that as a compliment. You touched upon so many lovely images...."nibbles of tiny fish on legs draped over an inner tube in the water..." Very nice. And yeah, there are all kinds of soulmates even though I try hard to prove they don't exist. But this is a huge universe, and there is a place for soulmates.....There are so many more gray areas than just a black and white world...

this was very good.... and I agree completely.

The paragraph in the middle about certain bloggers having a pull on us for some reason is very true.  Also, I need a lot of alone time also... but my soulmates, whether romantic or not, never feel like an intrusion to that time....

good post!
