I often get great inspirations when I first start to fall off to sleep-
And you're correct...if you don't get up and write them down right away, then you'll forget them by morning and loose those great ideas. I usually keep a note pad and pen beside the bed.
It's worth the sacrifice to get out of your warm bed. For me it is anyway!

You must need to relax in order to get your ideas. I do it the old-fashioned way, pen and paper beside the bed within reach and a flashlight so I don't disturb the lump beside me...Good Luck!

I keep a notepad and a special pen --- that has a small light incorporated in it --- right next to my bed.

Lol...I usually get my ideas for writing whilst I'm in the shower!! You're absolutely right....They come at the most inopportune moments and it can drive you nutters!!...Best wishes...I hope you had a very happy birthday...Please email me....
