I saw that statement
it wasn't kept from me.
it was played numerous times.
only one question remains
when will the job be finished?
next year?
2 years?
5 years?
10 years?
20 years?
50 years?
100 years?
ever?
actually never.
that's the reality of the situation
and the unreality of the woman's statement.

The party of free speech is at it again!
You can always count on the far-left Democrats to do in practice what they accuse the Republicans of doing in theory. I especially love getting comments here on blogit about how Republicans are stifling free speech. If free speech was being suppressed, why is there so much anti-Bush rhetoric on blogit?
To answer Glenn's question: I am a hard-working resident of Ohio, a state that proudly voted for Bush in 2004. Next question?

Scoop
How exactly would Bush go about showing us the good things? He does not have unfettered access to air time. If Presidents had a monopoly on air time to make a case for every policy, demonstrate the folly and chicanery of their opponents, get to the absolute facts on an issue, etc., the Democratic Party wouldn't even exist.

This post resonated strongly for me. Since it's late and I have an early alarm, I'm very lucky that, in reading down through the comments, the very first one you got - and the last one I read - by Sarooster, said it so perfectly, so I'm going to "borrow" it:
Great post!
Our mainstream media is the biggest assault weapon ever produced and they prove it each and every day with their reporting
(I hope it's okay to repeat since I gave credit....I could not have said what I feel better!) It was a great post. Thank you for pointing out, once again....if only folks would even try to be objective and see it....how ridiculously slanted our media is with these issues!

It really upsets me that this woman can not be heard on every news channel. Thank you for taking the time to seek out this story.
I know when I come to your blog and read..the otherside will be waiting here in the comment section. Thanks and have a good weekend!

"We have to take a step back and look at what we have asked our military to do. We have asked them to do a job. It doesn’t matter how we got there. The fact is we are there and we have a job to finish."
With all due respect, frauline, IT DOES MATTER how we got there. Maybe that's why nobody's listening to her propaganda.

Corbin, I have seen these things Scoop is talking about on CBN
Nobody wants to watch it. It is the most balanced news on all fronts. People see what they want, hear what they want and some people are just in your face people and nothing in the world will make them happy until they get you as riled as they are. Great post Corbin.....Excellent comment Janes!

Glennb, where do you get off making such statements??
That is, anyone supporting the war is criminal? OK, so although I've been ambivalent about the war, because I support the troops and have generally tried to get behind the President and this war, I'm a criminal? I don't think so.
And Glennb, some of your comments are pretty slanderous. You may wish to tone down the rhetoric a bit.
Corbin, thanks for posting a good, balanced article. Contrary to Glennb's stance, there ARE, indeed, two sides to every story and a ton of double standards happening in the media.

The links to the organization the woman started are in the story as are the links to view the ads...
I couldn't get her home phone number or social security number for you.........
Have you seen or heard anything about this woman? But we can't open the paper or turn on the TV without seeing something about poor, Cindy Sheehan.......it's enough to make someone want to barf!

Corbin Dallas,
I have no doubt that you are distorting the story! It does not match "real" facts! For anyone who has lost someone in a "criminal" war to suggest that others should support that effort is themselves "criminals"! The war in Iraq is a criminal intervention into the affairs of another sovereign state! Once you get past that the rest will be easy! What is the motive of this group? It cannot be to stop the killing! Protect America?? Hummm (See Katrina, Port Deal, Quail Hunting, Mission Accomplished, Kill Black Babies to reduce crime, etc...)!!!!

Scoop,
You know what would get reported if 50-100 people were getting killed in this country; President Bush not protecting the country; Republicans lax on security; Right-wing politicians selling out to enemy. That's why we can't tell what is going on in Iraq. The left leaning media can't let out any good news about Iraq.

why doesn't he show us the progress?
If he did it would be cut when the news clips were presented....he would have to, or the RNC, pay for half hour shows to put this out.....Probably only FOX would show it......

Are you saying all ads that are put on TV are facts? and not opinion?

Maybe he cut them because they are opinions not facts
His objection was over two lines in the spot: 1) The media only reports the bad news, but American troops are making real progress
2) You would never know it from the news reports, but our enemy in Iraq is Al Qaeda.
As far as #1 I have said many times, show us the progress, when Bush makes his trips around the country selling his war why doesn't he show us the progress? Show us some video of the good, show us the hospitals, schools, power plants, show us people shopping, kids playing, show us the progress.
And for #2 we have been told for the last couple of years different things, it went from loyalists of Saddam, to rebels, to terrorists, to insurgents, and now it is reported it is a clash between Shiias and Shiites.
If this was the US and 50 to 100 people were getting killed, kidnapped, car bombs going off, etc what do you think would get reported?
