Nope! We haven't ever considered it, but we will now.

Whacky,
We pet sit sometimes. Usually, insurance is the owner's responsibility.
Very informative, thanks!

With two dogs, I thought about getting insurance...But,
then I thought I probably wouldn't take extreme measures to extend their life. Hopefully, the good Lord will take them quickly when it is time for them to go to doggie heaven....

I had insurance for Mister Cat for awhile and it wasn't very expensive- about $25.00/mo. I think. They didn't pay well on claims though, and we only needed it once so awhile back, I just dropped it.

I don't know the cost, and I bet it is expensive.....
but every time I have to take one of the animals (2 dogs, 2 cats), it is well over 100. That is when they have something minor, not to mention office visits, shots, normal checkups.

I never really gave it any thought...
until, just now.

Actually--
after my recent $300 vet bill I decided to see what it would cost to get insurance for my three cats. I know some of them give a "volume" discount--so in the long run, it might actually save money if one of them gets sick. I haven't called yet though (procrastination)
