Corbin,
that'sh why we Canadians sit here comfortably, enjoying a great standard of living, and not in fear of a terrorist attack. Ah, it's sweet, I tell you!

Glennb

You have your right to your opinion....I am also glad you have the freedom to express it........I have my right to think it is a misguided one.....but would never support taking away your right to have it..........

And, at least ,you don't call people contributing here.....names..........

Corbin Dallas,
There are many places in corporate media where Americans can go and get their dose of "feeling good about their misguided corrupt benovelence"(creating permanent chaos)! You simply add to the list!

Corbin.....
thanks for posting this! I had not seen it before. Some people have so much hate in their heart that they cannot make any rational decision involving any action of our government. Angel, get back on your soapbox! I enjoyed the speech!

Billy.....
after a LOT of thought I just cannot think of any disgrace in getting kicked off blogit, telling the truth seems to really strike a nerve.

atigam and glennb are examples of people who...(don't get knicked off,
don't get kicked off, don't get kicked of)...I disagree with.  And I don't even support the war.  But when a muslim is imposing that crack pot islamic code of justice on their ass they need not look to me for sympathy.

This is a good way to explain the situation not only to the children but to those who do not understand why we have to do the job...afterall there are many would like to keep their blinds closed forever...We can't afford to do that...

Good post!!

Excuse me, Glennb, but, did I step in something? Let me stop and scrape it

from my shoe!

I do not have to justify my position to you or anyone else and for you to step up to the plate, as it were and for you to call me by name and essentially set me out, well let's just say that it doesn't make me happy... kay....

Find someone else to play the game, I don't have time for you...

Anglofinspiration,
On what "real" facts do you base your support for invading Iraq?? Which assumption? Which lie?? You have quite a few to chose from!!

posted by Glennb on February 28, 2006 at 3:48 PM | link to this | reply

Corbin, there is no easy answer....

Here is my problem with the war, ready?

I am not against the war, I wasn't against the war in the beginning, I am willing to allow my son to fight for our country in Iraq. I believe that Saddam needed to be removed from power and that the UN should have been involved long before we were.

But, if we are going to be the world police and stop the injustices that are occurring and stop the genocide of the world, then we need to stop it in the countries that can do nothing for us as well as the ones that will make the rich richer. How many years have we watched the genocide in Africa, for example?

If we are going to do this, then we need to do it right! Not pick and choose, which are most worthy to be saved....

There, I am off my soapbox now.

I loved this post by the way, I saved it, I hope you don't mind?

Intersting Corbin Dallas - so what about these neighbors in need? Think we'll invade and occupy any countries on this list anytime soon? Or at least stop doing business with their brutal dictators? (Parade Magazine's "top 10 worst dictators" edition, except for UAE.)

*China - Trading Partner

*Saudi Arabia - Ally

North Korea

Sudan

*Uzbekistan - a recent ally

*Turkmenistan - possible ally - U.S. military has expressed interest in establishing bases there.

*United Arab Emirates (child slavery abuses) - Ally, Soon to be in charge of U.S. ports.

Atigam,

Right on the head, you nailed it! The corrupt Arab regimes that sit on all this oil wealth while repressing their people are a bigger threat to humanity than Saddam Hussein ever was! This U.A. E. Port's Deal is just another scam to "launder" money back to corrupt politicians and connected famlies!

Lou Gertsner is CEO of the Caryle Group! I wonderd what happened to him after he plundered and pilliaged IBM?

Right on, GlennB!
Lert's not forget, the big bad U.S. has backed up insurgencies and supported murderous regimes in other countries many times, so one day, these people got so tired of just looking out their windows, so they hijacked these planes and . . .

Corbin Dallas,
Now you can see why the Iraqi Resistance has such support in Iraq! The big bad George Bush trying to drag Laura (Iraq) out by her hair because she wouldn't allow him to steal the "oil" money! It will last for years, I hope the Iraqis continue to remember who their "Enemies" are!
