Naut, it appears the cliques are stronger in the political category.
Keep writing you will break it. I only anger it. I like your work.

blogflogger,

I don't know why you think Emeril is a Canadian, which is what I glean from this 'bam' business, and which, incidentally, produced the old "This page cannot be displayed" page, when I tried it. Actually, I think he is Cajun, with a name like Lagasse, in which case his  forbears were Canadian, from Acadia, in Nova Scotia, which I know well and which is one of my favorite corners of the world. But mentioning Emeril has made me hungry, and I gotta go down and see what I can find in the fridge...

Lensman,
your second sentence shocked me even more than the facts of my post, but luckily your last sentence restored my equilibrium! You have to be a little more careful about your friends' health!

Nautikos - Eh? You think so? I favour Canadian as a language. It's...
... easy to learn. Get a whole bucket of "U"s, then just toss them into normal words and \\BAM// you've got Canadian.

blogflogger,
I think we ought to take a close look at our immigration policies in general, on both sides of the border. By the way, you are speaking almost perfect Canadian, eh?

Justso,
Thanks for the comment. I do wish we had a wider audience, though. I'm sure few people know about this disgraceful situation!

Nautikos
The more I observe of North American "leadership," from the Federal level right down to the municipal level, the more I wonder whose side they're on.  I used to believe leaders rose from our midst like cream from milk because they possessed the required skills and qualities and would ensure our best interests were served.   Mind you, I was only six the last time I felt that way.

Naut - There are a number of police departments in the U.S. who have
... also been instructed to look the other way with illegal aliens. Those are actual POLICIES. Amazing, eh?
