Bud, interesting parallel between the satellite and "star wars." I fail to see your point about the stopping of the Los Angeles attack. I frankly don't care if anyone was "tortured" to stop the attack; I use quotations around "torture" because what the left calls torture is nothing compared to the real thing, which they ignore because those who practice it are more polticially correct than the United States of America. War is war, my friend to the north. Jack Bauer has the right idea.
FW - a point of detail. A terrorist attack is not a "disaster." Nor is ti a "tragedy," as September 11 was called. It is an act of war. As far Katrina, see today's posting for some insight into preparation and reaction to such a major storm. To view the article through the lens of your comment: If everyone was aware of the threat, then why was nothing done to prepare for it years, or even decades, in advance? And, Democrats can indeed block the port deal, by working in harmony with like-minded Republicans instead of going off and throwing a tiff on their own as they are wont to do.

I admire your ability to spin ...
I hope the president sends you an autographed photo because you do your best to deflect criticism and heap praise on our Commander in Chief. It is a bit self-serving, you must agree, for Bush to crow about preventing a dsaster when he so miserably failed in reacting to one everyone knew was coming (Katrina).
It is Republicans, not Democrats, who are in position of power to block the ports deal, as they are threatening.
The dessension to the King is coming from the GOP side of the aisle.

Neither of these "leaks" may be true. There is such a thing as misinformation.
"Black-ops Spy Satellite" sounds like "star wars"
The fact that Bush made saying that something didn't happen because of countermeasures and perhaps torture is like saying to me, "I save you. You know it because you're here talking to me."
With some much garbage coming from your government, who can tell?
