I'm so sorry for you darkness....
But you should really have candles around and at least two flashlights with batteries for them. You know I'm in disaster relief and believe we should always be prepared for whatever....
When things get restored to "NOrmal" (if that ever happens!!!) get to the store and buy candles and flashlights.

Thank you for all your comments....but it is not a fuse I can sort
it is actually on the meter and down to them...it's their fault we have a key meter here where everything runs from it, we are not allowed to touch it...most of my food is ruined...here in London..it is their responsibility to come out within 3 hours.
I have wrote a leeter of complaint.
I am having a busy day again today...I will tell you about it later.

I'm sorry to read about the bad days. I keep candles and batteries for portable lights. I hope you're feeling good again by the time you log back on.

Symphony,
Isn't it funny that the power company doesn't seem to feel that your being without power (with small kids) isn't an emergency? I hope you're in better shape today!

I don't know what the rules are where you are
but if my freezer had defrosted, the responsible, or irresponsible party would have to reimburse me for $300.00 worth of food.
