I did take a course in writing advertising copy but I flunked the final assignment. I could still go back and redo and I might, but for right now I'm going to concentrate on the greeting cards. I don't think it will be that difficult for me to earn a living as a greeting card writer, because I'm VERY good at it and prolific as well

Keep thinking positive--
I like that you changed it to the present rather than "will be." I would imagine that making a living from solely writing greeting cards would be rather challenging. Perhaps there is more lucrative writing you could consider alongside the cards, i.e., marketing and advertising, these pay quite well.
