Bombaloo
Your writing is very good. Though I'll be saddened by your departure here, I know that you will fare well in the writing world. Best wishes for you and your family.

It is an honor for me to hear of your innermost beliefs. I hope you will always be comfortable expressing them here.

BTW--March 10 is my last day. You are one of the bloggers whom
I have the most difficulty "leaving."  Good luck (although I'll be reading and commenting again between now and then).

Avant--Reminds me of a conversation I had with my niece yesterday

about inner peace.  She is my age, and suffered as much at her father's hand (my father's oldest son) as I did at my father's.  Anyay, we talked at length about peace, and how we feel blessed to be the only members of my father's family to have found it.  Quite by accident we both said (at the same time), "It's only by realizing that I'm dependent on God that I became independent in other aspects of my life."  It was quite a revelation for us both.

Not exactly what you are saying, but your post reminds me of that conversation very much. Please be advised that renigade/bombaloo is not a Bible-thumper, and rarely shares her views of faith (with anyone but her inner circle) lest she be called such.  You have witnessed a rarity...

Yes, very much so. The more we know, there more there is to discover. That is beautiful and mysterious all at once.

i read
the comments by 'Experience' i find his reason strong enough but the explanation that you gave was very much true...its similar to the conflict between classic & quantum physics. Both are true but yet seperate & require some equation to unify but then we are still faraway from realizing the complete reality.

Avant,
This is lovely...Thanks for sharing! It's true the power to make one happy does not exist, but I have believed for quite some time now the power to know joy does! I always enjoy reading your posts. Thanks for stopping by my Ponderings! I'm a bit frazzled these days and am not commenting as often as I usually do, but remember I am there...reading. It's people like you who share good thoughts that make me a bit more relaxed. Blessings...

Experience
Yes, I believe that all divisions are man-made. The irony here is that God's will is our will, but we tend not to believe it. We think because we exert effort to obtain, God must need something from us and use force to get it.

When we love uncondtionally, we are One with God. The mind identifying with the physical body is the trammel to this realization, but at the same time necessary to the discovery of it.

Experience
I am speaking purely on a psychological level, which manifests over a long period of time as positive outcomes.

Jesus taught unconditional love, even to those who feared and killed him. His giving love in each situation helped to foster what was real, despite what appearances were manifest at the moment.

A victim is a mentality. It is possible to be 'victimized' and still give love. Would not love be experienced in such a case? Would not that love heal the attacker, by disengaging his reason for the attack in the first place? I would daresay that love reverses the false appearance of cause and effect we believe is a reality in the physical.

There is always a higher purpose for what appears random and cruel. All things are here to evolve, and it is the mindset we choose that determines how well we understand this purpose.

Thanks for a heartfelt comment.

To me a koan is a 'wise saying', or a statement that holds much wisdom, but meditation is needed to bring the wisdom out of it. In Zen tradition, koans are used for spiritual development. The student might study one koan for a long period, until its meaning revealed itself.

Divisions
I believe the divisions of man within the mind are caused by the seperations of ourselves and the oneness with God. When man has his own ideas conflicting with God's will. I believe the seperations of the mind and heart become. If man would be one inside their soul and mind and heart with God's will. I belive then you are made whole. Similar to the opening of the eyes of the blind.

Disagree to the line we give is what we recieve.

Many people fall victim to that belief. Did Jesus get what he deserved and recieved by the sinners. Did the children get what they deserved  during the Holocaust? Does aborted babies deserve what they get?

happiness is the realization that the power to make happy does not exist.

Wow!  Incredible...this truly sums it ALL up perfectly.  Now to put it all to practice....there's the "rub" of being in the physical.  It's when I finally realize that I'm not separate from the Divine that I connect (that I'm not separate from anyone at all).  OMG...this post is SO rich in thought & truth that I can't even comment on what I feel...words can't truly express the feelings...just know this is amazing & wonderful.  Thank you.
