Symphony,
What is the title of this movie? I see your point, but my point of view is quite diferent. I like films, which leave some questions unanswered, that's why I appreciate French or Spanish movies so much. My favourite director is P. Almodovar. In life most of our questions and problems are unanswered, that's why I like the movies, which are close to the reality.

Not My Preference Either
That is why I prefer to watch home movies. I can turn them off!! When making a movie choice, I try to make sure that it is one with a good review or I like the cast! Good post!

Symp--I agree, the telling is in the details. In movies or books, the
details are the difference between a good and great work. It has often been noted that some of the older movies concentrated more on details. If you spill the milk, let the audience see you at least start to clean it up. ect.

Sorry Symphony I too hate movies with no redemptive qualities.

We all can get reality anywhere, we want good endings at the movie.

The cliffhanger might mean there is a sequel to it. I don't like open endings either.
