You asked many good questions, my Symphonic one. Questions that
should be discussed over an alcoholic beverage. But I'll just say this: Sometimes, people say stupid things. We aren't perfect and neither are the people who remind us of that.

People are small minded and must build themselves up by bringing you down.
But, there is that occasional person that simply says what they think without ill intent, you just have to be able to tell the difference.
Have a fabulous day!

Thank you so very much DrJPT ...for your comment and for sharing...
would it be any different if it was vice versa? (positive after the negative?) you are most right about jelousy and envy being the reason, people like to put others down to make themselves feel better...

lol...You've definitely covered some good points with this post. I'm still terribly shy about my writing, but I find that hearing both sides of what others have to say about my work helps me more than hearing only the good.
It's hard to hear when people don't like certain things you've written. But don't let that weaken your desire...Let it strengthen you instead....You'll become a much better writer for it...And a much better person, too....

.....Envy and Jealousy, that Brings Out Passive Aggressive Behavior
Any time negative comes after the positive, it actually cancels out all that was said in a positive manner, in my opinion. It is like setting up a person for the kill. Insecure people find it necessary to build up self and seem to do it best by bring down another by negative comments and behaviors.
Consider that the other person has the problem and if you can, understand that we must love the person and call their behavior what it is, and in my opinion confront them on it, as soon as it happens. This will let them know, that you know, that they are not being nice, helpful or supportive. Good post!
