Good post!

I am a "die hard conservative" who is very concerned about the economy.  It would seem the rich are getting richer, the poor are getting poorer, and the middle class is shrinking. Meanwhile, the federal govt continues to spend like there's no tomorrow, and both debt and bankruptcy are ever increasing.  And if you don't believe that this is truly a concern of mine, here's a paragraph I wrote in January regarding my concerns:

"But on the flip side, neither am I impressed with all that I’ve been reading about our economy as managed by the Republican led Congress. It would seem that Americans have been churning through buckets of money that we did not earn, and buying on credit as if tomorrow will never come. We have learned our lesson well from the federal government, which also has a way of churning through buckets of money that it doesn’t have, borrowing from Asia and India and other countries and accruing unbelievably high wads of debt such that we’ll never be able to repay. I would assume that 9/11, the Iraq war, a few minor wind storms down in the gulf region (sorry, bad humor), the new albatross called Medicare part D, and the price of oil have not helped our economy one iota. But still. Do these people have a clue how much debt they have saddled us with?"
