CrimsonCarouse -in describing the Vatican, you left out the word "criminal"
as in criminal enterprise. It has shown positive cash flow for 1,500 consecutive years except one. That was the year in the early 70's when they lost a billion dollars to the mafia. Like how do you lose a billion dollars and stay in business? As for why people insist that we must re-introduce religion to the public sector, it is a given that it is only their religion that will be accepted. It takes some serious brainwashing to not be able to see the folly of this.

I think it is because

some religions are trying to survive. Just as the Republican foreign policy tends to be "make the world a democracy" Christianity tends to "make the world follow Christ".

The Vatican City, although a seemingly insignificant micro-nation on the surface, is to be one of the most feared superpowers in existence today.
