Antigam, We do have a mind of our own, and though we can be informed
by the press, we must not be conformed by the wishes of the press!

I think the point the press

is making is that this is just more of the Bush administration's arrogant sense of entitlement: WE DON'T HAVE TO TELL YOU ANYTHING WE DON'T WANT TO and WE WILL ONLY SHOW YOU INTELLIGENCE THAT SUPPORTS OUR POINT OF VIEW (hell-o, Iraq!!). It's like Gonzalez not answering questions about the wiretapping - why show up before the commitee at all then??

It's a good thing Cheney didn't kill the guy. They probably would have buried him there and not said a word about it.

Scoop one does not wish to be informed, but neither does one desire
to be embarrassed by the childlike ways of the modern day press over this issue -- sooner or later, they will back off, and move on, but will we be able to say that we are more informed, and they are more contented, I don't think so.

And an uniformed person is stupid.

It is always the press, OK, so stop watching the news, don't listen to the radio, stop buying the paper. Now what?

I tell people to get their news from different sources and try to weigh it out.

People who say that hate the press seem to love it when they print stories showing the good side of something or someone.

I see it here on Blogit, one day a writer will destroy the Washington Post or New York Times and the next day they will write and say, "check the NY Times today great article........."
