I think in the same circumstances I would be the same as Brisbane artist. Such things cannot be contrived

Did you read the love letter?
Dear Azur.. I suggest you read the love letter. I think BrisbaneArtist does not know how to handle it. I think he does not want to re-act because I really knew her true identity and her where abouts and she just cannot think of anything else. LOL.... I guess it was a big surprise for the beautiful lady.. LOL..

Azur,
What beautiful momentoes, love letters bound in ribbon. You're right: even printouts don't have the same feeling. It's why I've started making hand-made cards for friends, it's a nice surprise I think to get something in the mail besides flyers and bills.
I don't want to go overboard with the scrapbooking, but I think I would like to put the cards that my partner and I have exchanged into one, just not too many stickers, LOL.

There is nothing quite like a love letter. My packet is tied in an old pink ribbon and is kept in a little cedar chest box. Now and then I read them and remember....

Azur--- Somehow, along with that more innocent method of writing
love letters, I fear that we also have lost some of the desire to express such emotions. I hope that's not the case, but expect that it is.

Nobody really writes letters anymore, do they?
I have some old letters from my sister and mother that I treasure. It's like taking a trip back in a Time Capsule to read them.

I have sent both
electronic and hand written love letters, and both, I have been assured, have been cherished.

and I totally agree that a letter written in ink has a resonance all of its own

Hi,
Reading your post let me remember, what I did with the love letters written by my ex, I sent them to his lover...I did it, because she needed some evidence that he had cheated both of us...now we are free from him for good. Happy Valentine.

* I feel all fluffy now. True, letters can be cherished so much more easily. They're not redrafted either, like email. And no, it shouldn't just be today, it should be odd unexpected moments like the precious memory on the plane. Have nothing for Sam today - no card or prezzie - but she gets trinkets and thinkets at plenty of unexpected times. Letter-writing, though - now there's something that I used to do oodles of and never do at all these days.

Early in my relationship with Queen V, she lived in Birmingham while I lived in Memphis. We talked often on the phone, but I supplemented these conversations with long, detailed letters. Loving, but not exactly love letters. She kept them all just the same. I stumbled upon them when we moved last year. I think it was my letters, my hand-written words more than anything I said aloud that made her fall in love with me.
