Azur--- Good tip. I've received some incredibly stupid responses to my
queries over the years. But never responded to any of them in a mean-spirited way. Must keep your eye on the prize.

Sometimes we sound snotty when we're just telegraphic.
(Mea maxima culpa).
However, there are certain tip-offs about when you are truly being mistreated, such as the terms "little", "quaint", "primitive", and "lame" are used anywhere in conjunction with descriptions of your work.
Especially that last one.

Yes Dave Cryer, the veneer of politeness
I respond in a uncynical fashion even though I understand very well the suggestion that I am not in their club. I love it too at times like this when I have something to show which demands some consideration

I can't
* that kind of overstated understatement. 'Whiff of snot' sums it up completely.
