As long as the doctor kills you with drugs its an accident, any other ....
circumstance is morally wrong and can be legally pursued. Do you remember John Candy's Canadian girlfriend? That of course required jailed time.
The whole system is a way of perpetrating abuse on defenceless victims under the guise of moral righteousness.
The prohibition laws were brought in by fundamentalist racists and continue to be upheld by these church monkeys to have a pool of wretches readily available to save.
Take the good/evil connotation out of it and it becomes a controllable health problem, with marijuana beating alcohol hands down as a peaceful, benign, low health risk hands down winner against alcohol.
Something that could relieve social tensions, reduce accidents, curb violence in the home, and become a cheap way to relax after work, leaving more money for the family. These benefits are denied to serve alcohol's entrenched interests.
