i'm still quite new and feel i've barely begun to scratch the surface in terms of meeting everyone here. i've just scanned through some of your posts. you seem to lead a fascinating, rewarding life. my dad spent a lot of time in mexico as well as central and south america on business trips. he would always stay in some hut in a local town instead of using the hotel his company put him up in. he'd come home with personal stories of real people (as well as spider bites all over!) made a point of teaching himself spanish. has since learned to read and write mandarin, tho not completely fluent, and has written a little book of well-known phrases in different languages. he loves saying hello to people in their own language.
your work with the school children fills me with the same respect.
