I"m not overly adventurous Nanaroo...
...which makes me the odd man out when I'm out at gourmet dinners.  Once, when out with friends who had just shot pheasant that afternoon and they had brought the birds for the chef to cook, I tried a tiny piece off our host's plate, just to be sociable.  I should never have told him it was good!  He ran to the kitchen, brought me a plate of it, and I dug in.  Something was hard in my mouth!  I swallowed it as I was eating with a lot of people I didn't know and didn't want to spit something out.  It was shot from the gun!!  I swallowed shot!!  It was enough to turn me vegetarian! Never again!

Nana
While vacationing in Africa I once ate a bull's ball! Of course I didn't know it until after I ate it!

Nanaroo--- Tops among my weird foods would be a bowl of baby eels.
And then there was rattlesnake (tastes like chicken, of course), possum, racoon, beaver, grasshoppers . . . ah my mouth is watering now. As to most disgusting, that would have to be a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich, a delicacy favored by a friend of mine.

passionflower
that bread with sugar sprinkled on it sure sounds good-
one thing I love but doesn't fall into the 'wierd' catagory is cinnamon toast!  That sugary cinnamon on buttery toast is just heavenly!

My God! You people are Culinary Freaks!!!

LOL! Just read everyone's comments. YIKES!!! That's some wierd crap all right.

I've eaten frog legs, alligator tail, turtle soup, snails....Yummy!

When we were kids my brother loved to make scrambled eggs then stir about a tablespoon of mustard in them...Gross! My favorite thing when I was a kid--okay, two favorties:

  • Bologny sandwiches with potato chips between the meat and the bread.
  • bread with butter spread on it sprinkled with sugar.

alligator is good,
but I thought that chicken tasted more like alligator, I am not sure if this is a weird food or not, but I was a guest at a rattlesnake roundup in Texas one time. And of course we had rattlesnake for supper, and LOTS of beer during the day, best I can remember it was really good!

I ate smoked eels with my dutch uncle once
pigs tails were pretty weird too.  I think the weirdest thing I ever ate was a peanut butter
and mustard sandwich.
