Thanks MPO.
A partwork is a peculiar British publication - a magazine published in a set number of parts. In this case 50, to eventually complete a DVD set of all nine series of X Files episodes, with the accompanying magazine to give background info, comments, interviews, pictures etc. Generally works out considerably more expensive than buying the box-sets, but split into weekly instalments - and the mag is nice.
I'm still considering...

Well, good luck...
it's very difficult to wrest yourself from the grip of addiction. But, once you do ... it really does significantly improve your "quality of life" (often in ways you never would have imagined).
One thing though, what's a "partwork"?
There are two kinds of light -- the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures.
