Thanks for the comment blogflogger!
I am still a long way from where I want to be, but I will remember my old buddies if that time ever comes.

Blanche,
That is the best thing to do. Don't ever mess up a good thing.

Blogfogger,

Thanks for mentioning my poor old dog. She is really doing well. I know that sounds hard to believe with all of her problems, but she is doing fine.

The magazine is just starting. The next issue will be the second full issue after a trial run at the end of last year. I will be a contributing writer to the issue coming up and in the May-June issue I will have one story for sure. I may have more than that. The magazine features entertainment and night life stories along with some general interest stuff. It's geared for an audience much younger than I. I will write whatever is asked of me to get this thing started. I wrote several short articles on the Super Bowl and Hannukah so far. I have one on herbal supplements coming up in the May-June issue. I am very excited about this opportunity.

I want to be a writer. I have just began making the big push. I will continue to write as much as I can and soon I will have some credentials in the writing world. I want to be a novelist. I have written a novel manuscript and am almost finished with a second.

I plead the 5th, Sarooster,
That is, plead the 5th, not drink it.  As for the good thing, well, you know what they say, "Don't advertise your man".  I wouldn't want word to get out or his head to get too big, but, yes, I don't want to mess up a good thing, not after it took so long to finally find it, er, him.

I must admit I inhaled and I enjoyed inhaling!
I understand about the Mature Audiences section. My wife, well....let's just say she is Ok with that and other things. I can applaud you for not wanting to mess up a good thing.

Sarooster - Sweet story about your dog. Its tough to lose our pets as
they grow old. - I went back through a bunch of your posts, but I didn't find anything about what FLAVOR of writing you will be doing for the magazine. ???

I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked, Sarooster,
You mean you DID inhale?  I tend to stay out of the Mature Audiences section. I am in a relationship, so I try not to muddy the waters.

Thanks Blanche!

I think we need to be less protective of our respective sides on issues and take a more open approach to what others say. I don't really have big problems with what people in government have done wrong because they think they are supposed to act like that. They were elected or appointed to do so. I just hate to see us clamp down after letting others get away with murder. I can't really talk too much about President Clinton because I was much more liberal back then and condoned some of his activity. I would have acted like that myself! If you read my blog in the mature audience section you will see what I mean. We can be civil and disagree as many posts have mentioned. It's time for my shower, but I will blog some tonight. So make sure you check out my writings later!

Before you commend me too much read my comment to you and blog in
one of her posts. It was meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but I want us all to think about making sure we recognize both sides do wrong.

Sarooster,
I appreciate your keeping an open mind and keeping open to other ideas.

Cronies, Sarooster?
Cronies sounds too much like "crones'  for my comfort.  LOL

Thanks for the read and comment, Blanche!

Yes, my poor old dog is on the downside of life. She is still full of life and willing to play. I love rosemary. It's my favorite herb to grow. You can grow a lot in a couple of window boxes. Look into buying some "EarthBoxes". They might suit you nicely.

Yes, we can disagree at times and still be friends and civil to each other. I will continue to read your posts in your blogs. I promise to be civil and have some serious discussion with you and your cronies about many topics.

Sarooster,

What a bittersweet feeling it must be to watch the dog you've had since a pup hobble to catch a tennis ball, the spirit is there, but the flesh isn't what it used to be.  Ah, but that's true of all of us.  Still, she's got game.

Garden?   At least you have soil to plant one.  I have two long flower boxes that perch on my balcony (or rather will when the weather is warm enough), and a pot of rosemary.  I still remember my grandmother's tomatos, fresh out of the garden with a little salt, there's nothing like them.

It is possible to disagree and still see each other as people, with familiies, lives, etc.  Feel free to come visit my blog anytime.

Original,
The work days seem to drag, but once at home the time goes by so fast. Don't even speak of the weekends. My poor old dog is some adaptable. Thanks for the read and comment.

A resilient dog---I have one two...we call him
the dog with nine lives! I don't like Mondays much myself and yesterday was sooooo long until I arrived home and the night flew by.
