I think it's great that you guys haven't had to get a babysitter--
But don't be afraid to do so. Do be careful, look around, ask for references etc but it's a good idea to form "Relationships" with several good babysitters for those times when you and your wife need time alone or want to go on a weekend trip.
My friend has 3 kids and it actually worked out to be cheaper for her to hire a live-in housekeeper. This is a very sweet Mexican lady who drives and she not only watches the kids all day but she does laundry, keeps the house clean and runs errands --
