Actually, I agree Kooka...this was tantamount to yelling fire. I just get
tired of hearing people quote Franklin or Jefferson or who ever it was thatsaid that about Freedom and Security. And for that matter make a big deal out of the Bill of Rights and never once stop to think about what common sense would have us do.

Freedom of speech does not allow you to yell 'fire' in a crowded theater.
Sorry, but that is what this guy just did.
There is a level of responsibility with-in the idea of freedom of speech.
While as I said, I do not agree with the actions of the Muslims in their response, it is not surprising. Things are heated up over there and some guy comes in and insults the whole of the people just for a little joke.
Now the Muslims should not have gotten that upset over it all, but at the same time the cartoonist should have been thinking about his actions.

Kooka, didn't you once say something about those who would give
up freedom for safety deserve neither? Now you blame a guy for exercising Freedom of Speech and Freesdom of the Press. Muslim's have the power to change how they are perceived in the world and some of them truly want to be seen as reasoning, peaceful people. But the culture as a whole needs a paradigm shift if they want to play on the stage of the western world as something other than barbary pirates.
