- Go to I AM A HORRIBLE SELF EDITOR
Kooka--- Self editing is difficult because our eyes tend to see
what we intended to wrie, not what we actually wrote. When time allows, one of the best things that you can do is put the "finished" work away for a day or two (or a week or two). Foget about it. Then, when you read it with fresh eyes, you will pick up many of those errors that you might have missed before. Bottom line, though, is that EVERY writer, and I mean EVERY writer, needs an editor. Good luck.

kooka--We all are. I have recruited a core of writing friends
to edit my stuff. Whenever I finish a piece, I email it to them, and they respond with advice and corrections. Of course, I DON'T do that with blogit pieces. If you ever need help editing, I'll be glad to lend a hand. I'll just have to delete any negative references to God...LOL
