True enough, writersjourney, but I believe the right to freedom of
expression supercedes freedom of religion (which is part of expression, if I may be so bold).  Yet, responsible journalism these days are a must.

We Should be Careful About Those Amongst Us Who Want Religious Wars

Saul, obviously the statement quoted is foolish. Hamas, itself, has an interesting history in relation of the right-wing faction in Israel; see: http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/American_Journal/338156 and http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/American_Journal/338835 .

And while I think that it is a "given" that Western governments should not and cannot impose censorship on newspapers (unless they criticize the financial oligarchy) I also believe that these caricatures were irresponsible provocations of an already highly inflammatory and volatile situation.

I don't want to flood you with too many links in one comment, but please see: http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/life_of_the_spirit/340460 and join the fun!
