LOL...my favorite part of that episode has always been the beginning when Homer's reading the billboards on the side of the highway...

In that same episode,

I love the way Homer tries to pull his arms out of the tar with his face.  Plus, after "Stampy" sticks Homer's head in it's mouth, Homer says, "Now I've had my head in an elephant, a hippo and a giant sloth."

While, I could never narrow my favorite quotes down to just one, or even one hundred ... I do really love these two from the "Clown College" episode:

1. The whole family's at the table eating dinner, nobody's saying anything.  Then, all of a sudden, Homer stands up and shouts, "That's it!  You people have held me back long enough!  I'm going to clown college!" and he storms out.

Bart (looking stunned) says, "Wow!  I don't think any of us expected him to say that!

2. Krusty's accountant: "So, let me get this straight, you took all the money you made from licensing your name and bet it against the Harlem Globetrotters?"

Krusty: "I thought the Generals were due!  Aw, that game was fixed ... they were using a freakin' ladder for Christ's sakes."

That
Simpsons quote is in my all time favorite episode, the one where Bart gets the elephant.  I still love the line "Looks like those clowns in congress did it again, what a bunch of clowns."  "Wow, that's amazing.  How does it keep up with the news like that?"

When, my grandmother died...

Everyone was cleaning out her house ... and, in the attic, she just had bags and bags and bags of junk, old newspapers and, even, calendars that she had been saving forever (for reasons unclear).

I guess she agreed with Homer Simpson when he said, "Sure, it's not 1985 right now ... but, who knows what tomorrow might bring!"

Btw, I'm supposed to tell you that I was only joking when I (appeared to) badmouth Gubby.  He is actually a quasi-friend of mine and a "fine, upstanding fellow".

And you two would make a lovely couple.
