... to serve as a wake up call. If the numbers just dribble along these deaths doesn't get the attention they deserves. Like birthdays. We all have them, and don't feel that old, until you have a 40th or 50th (or whatever) and suddently people start focusing about how old we're getting. Every single death, coalition / Iraqis / journalist is tragic. But one here and one there people will accept. Throw a big round number at them and they may react. - We won't even talk about the injured. That's a separate post.

Think about it for a while and see if it doesn't say something about the absurdity of life.
