Dear StrickGold : That is the best move. Make your own agency. Be sure to be specific on your assignments if you have a partner. Never hire a relative, It is better to hire a few part time students rather than full time which you cannot easily dispose off if things doesn't go your way.

I'm guessing that most realtors don't
read blogs -- but if they did, would you be happy to have them read what you've written about your colleagues (the future colleagues whom you feel will be more trouble than they're worth). Sometimes the very fact that you expect certain behaviors out of someone will bring them on. So here's a thought.
It may well be that your new position as office manager will give you some clout -- you may be able to influence the work atmosphere and keep things on a professional basis by establishing a policy of teamwork and congeniality, by expressing a general expectation that everyone will support their colleagues. No personal issues -- just a general goodwill atmosphere. If nothing else, you'll feel better.
