- Go to Alito is on the Supreme Court; glad that is all over!
You are absolutely right in your comment. Dictatorship benefits only a few. The Afican state of Nigeria is a living example. During dictatorship the oil rich west african state saw its wealth controlby some few Generals. Hence the recurrent unrest in the Niger Delta where 80% of Nigeria's oil comes from. However, since 1999 when civils came to power, there has been some progress. This is my next topic that I al giving you first hand. Thanks for reading and God Bless.

Sarooster,
That does seem to be the case, somehow common sense often seems to get lost in the shuffle, and forgetting we're all in this together, with common problems.

blanche,
I don't really know if there is much middle ground anymore. A great poltician would come from that area if there were one. I think Judge Alito will be fine. We'll get to find out soon enough. Thanks for the read.

corbin,
The liberals never did share their cake. I used to have to live in hotels in my work. I used to like to do that, but I am glad I don't have to anymore.

Passion,
We all need to work together and not whine. Both sides do it. It's just the Democrats have gotten crazy because they are not in power.

Unfortunately, Sarooster,
Those of us who don't care much for either extreme, have to like or lump it as well. I hope Justice Alito surprises us all (pleasantly).

I am big on history and precedent corbin.
I would have been more than happy, as a conservative, to share the spoils we have won over these past few years if the liberals, who had control of the country for many decades, had done the same. One more conservative Supreme Court justice would be so nice. Can you imagine the battle that is going to be when it finally happens?

There you go....exhibiting a belief in the position that "to the victor goes the spoils".
Everyone on the other side of the aisles believes in "the victor should share the spoils".....LOL

Thanks, janes!
The conservatives are in charge right now. The left has to get used to that. They have to get used to playing second fiddle for a bit. Things are going to go against them. Thanks for the read.
