Hi Symphony......I think TAPS said it best....
And there is nothing wrong with self-knowledge. That's good for all of us. I'm trying to think of some great books, and now I've hit a reader's block. Forgive me. How frustrating is that?

Pelzer is so moving
He has several books if you have not read them all you would likely enjoy the others.

SYMPHONY, 'A Million Little Pieces' by James Frey

(who was dishonest with Oprah) is a bestseller here in the US.  I think that says something very sad about us as consumers and readers.

Thank you very much for your comment, Bud-Oracle

I agree some reality shows are merely for entertainment...but like I said Jeremy Kyle is different...its real...I have learnt alot by just watching it.

Take care

SYMPHONY, you are right in that we use other people for a mirror to
reflect what we do or do not like about ourselves.

I feel the same about craving knowledge, but I find these shows to be......

mainly entertainment. A much more productive venue for me is dialogue, both verbal and written.

It is in the exchange of NEW ideas that knowledge is furthered, not entertainment.

Want to look at a truly unique concept and have some input on it? Read my latest post in the fiction column.

I challenge you to constructively criticize my rogue thoughts, so that I may be further enlightened, too.
