If Cindy's crazy, who wants to be sane!

Remember, folks, that I'm a Libertarian, not a Democrat or liberal (they are not the same thing; Senator Lieberman calls himself a Democrat).

But I'm disgusted by all this arm-chair diagnosis of Cindy Shehan. What actions, specifically, lead you to believe that she's crazy?  Wearing a t-shirt that decries the war dead?  Standing outside in 100 degree weather?  Budhist monks doused themselves with gasoline and set themselves on fire to protest the Viet Nam war. Now that's crazy! Texas in the summer is hot, but not that hot!

Natalee Hollaway's mom has been on every newscast but the weather channel, asking for help of information about her missing daughter. Is she crazy? Or star struck? Or looking for her "15 minutes of fame"? Or the hapless pawn of the far left? No, she's just a distraught mom dealing with the most staggering loss any human can face.

Oh, by the way, the Rove-ites played right into Cindy's hands (or whoever is pulling her strings). She probably wanted to get arrested!!! Did you think of that? The D.C. policeman who arrested her turned what might have been, at best, a 2-second photo op into a headline story.  Bad moves.

By the way, I defy any of you fledgling lawyers to find the statute in the D.C. criminal code that lists "unlawful conduct" as a crime (what Cindy Shehan was arrested for).       Crimes are, by definition,  unlawful conduct, there is no "unlawful conduct" crime.

This is why I never get into political or religious debates.
There are pros and cons of every issue, esp the war.

I think she needs help.....her behavior is very off the wall......perhaps we could send her to one of our  Spas in Eastern Europe? (For  the humorless, that was a joke)

Xeno-X,

It's hard to tell if people against the war just don't want war or hate President Bush.I think the latter is the case most of the time. The liberals intensely hate the President. They oppose each and every thing he does. It doesn't matter if its the war, the economy, or whatever. It's all wrong when he does something. It follows that most conservatives, myself included, will never get a good read on what the liberals are complaining about. I don't think one is crazy if they oppose the war. I think one can not be taken too seriously if they find fault in everything the President does.

As usual, you jumped to conclusions,

And made yet another illogical assumption.

Assuming you were referring to my post, I should tell you that I have been ambivalent about the Iraq war; however, that said, I and many other Americans believe that Sheehan has gone overboard in her antipathy towards all things Iraq, Bush, Republicans and who knows what else.  To put it politely, she seems more than a wee bit unbalanced.
