Nan--- Found it. And what a story it is. Yes, these types of folks are
very good at disguising their true selves. And as I've told several people since, "I'm supposing to be getting better at this. Not worse!"

A lucky escape and I'm sure you had to use your own wit, charm and intelligence to extricate youself safely. You can pick up little details so quickly when you meet someone face to face but when you are communicating by phone or e-mail you have to really watch out for inconsistencies and its very easy to paint a picture that is very different to the real one. How scary.

Wrong side of the road.

Dear Nanaroo.. I don't know if I should laugh or feel sad about your kangaroo story. I believe everthing you said. Yes, we are driving here on the wrong side of the road because we are still under British Influcence. Australia is still a Commonweatlh. Our passports have the Queen of England. Try to look into one of the Aussie Passport. Everything here is upside down...LOL.. well maybe like the flash in the toilet here looks counter clockwise. I flushed twice while writing this and I am not really sure.

Next time just stick to local men. HA HA HA HA, or with good references. You are too beau. to be trapped in someone's backyard half way around the world.

Next time you come here, email me here in Sydney and I will take you and your companion to a good restaurant, not in a dusty backyard....regards..Prof.

nanaroo
I'm glad that I did not have internet at a certain age in my life.   I think that at that time in my life I might have been very vulnerable to crazies because I was so caught up in my own problems that I might not have very discerning over the internet.     It sounds like that incident was pretty traumatic for you.
