I look forward to reading that post
For me, that has been the weakest link for Christianity.  It's based on a book of unknown origin.  You would be better off with Aesop's stories where you know what was trying to be accomplished.

That is a very valid point there.  I had thought about it myself when I read her comment, but decided to not address it here, as I do have a post in mind dealing with it.

jecruz did bring up another good point

Many people believe the good book was written by God or Jesus and it was actually written by men.  That holds all kinds of inherent problems right there.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to put on my Nikes and get my blue Kool-aid to prepare for the end of the world.

I wish you could have understood the actual point of my post.  There is little I can do about that.  Having faith is no the insanity after all.

Do you really believe the story of Noah's Ark happened?  And that God gave us the rainbow as a sin he would never do such a thing again? And you do not see the mythologic aspects of that at all?

If you understood my post, you would see that I am not persecuting anyone, unless I am persecuting everyone.  This was not a post saying all Christians were mentally ill.  It was showing the levels in which religious beliefs cross the line into clear mental illness.

But I do thank you for being polite with your comment.  I am expecting some really rude ones here soon, that will attack my character and try to discredit me.

actually you are right
a lot of religion is based on a foundation of sand; and its adherents either fail or refuse to question it.
this is truly insanity.

NO
I am very sorry  that you feel this way.  I do not know which religions you are referring to, but I have my own personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the author of the Bible that holds the great miracles such as Noahs Ark, and many more miracles.  I am sorry that you view me as a mentally ill person.  I am glad that you think of me as such, because Jesus said we christians would be persecuted, because he was also.  But thank GOD that I will have a hope and Glory in heaven for standing for righteousness....
